What are the two drying modes?
The standard drying programme can be identified by the Sports Shoe button. This first cleans the shoes for 5 minutes and then dries them for 20 minutes at full power.
The second drying programme for leather shoes can be identified by the Leather Shoe button. This first cleans the shoes for 5 minutes and then dries them for 40 minutes at a lower power level.
To double the drying time to 80 minutes, press the button twice.
Where can I best place it?
It is best to place the shoe dryer in a well-ventilated area (e.g. near the front door) where the temperature is ideal for drying. If the humidity is too high (often in a shed), drying will take longer.
How does Ozone clean the shoe?
Ozone works by the principle of oxidation. When the statically charged ozone molecule comes into contact with something “oxidisable”, the voltage from the ozone molecule is immediately transferred to it and breaks down the microbes.
How is Ozone generated in the shoe dryer?
In the shoe dryer, ozone is generated by high voltage with a generator. This high voltage is conducted to two metal plates. An electrostatic charge is created between these plates and transferred from one surface to the other. This transfer creates the ozone.
Is Ozone harmful to your health?
The small amounts of ozone used in the shoe dryer are not harmful. There are limits to permissible concentrations. Too high a concentration is harmful. Also, do not intentionally breathe the ozone air above the shoe dryer.
Can the Ozone 'run out'?
No, that is not possible. Ozone is generated solely by electric power.
