Remove, charge and fit the battery
The PaceSync is the battery pack. You take it off by hand, without tools.
- Switch off and unplug. Switch the PaceSync off and unplug both cables.
- Take it off. Grip the front with both hands, rotate it downwards and pull it off the nocks, evenly on both sides.
- Charge indoors. Use only the supplied charger (STC-8139LC, 100–240 V AC), on a hard, non-flammable surface, at 15–25 °C. A full charge takes about 5 hours. Don't leave it charging unattended for long; unplug when full.
- Fit it back. Place it on the nocks with the K logo up and push down evenly. The springs turn it into position.
All safety warnings
- Don't open, crush, drop or short-circuit the PaceSync.
- Keep it away from fire and heat, never above 60 °C, for example in a car in the sun.
- Rain is fine, but don't immerse it or clean it with a pressure washer.
- Don't use a damaged cable, connector or charger.
- Keep hands clear of the wheels. Take care on slopes and wet grass and keep a hand on the handle.
- Keep the magnetic connectors away from pacemakers. Use freewheel mode only for short distances.
- The trolley stops automatically when the remote is out of range.
- Use between −5 and 40 °C and 20–70 % humidity. Not a toy: keep it away from children.
- Don't take the PaceSync on an aircraft: at 365 Wh it's over the 160 Wh limit.

Make it last, then recycle it
Return the PaceSync, the remote and the charger free of charge. Never put them in household waste.
Make your battery last longer
- Charge within 48 hours after every round. Never store it empty.
- Store at 15–25 °C, never in a car or in direct sun.
- Not using it for a while? Give it a full charge cycle once a month.
- Kaddey services and repairs PaceSync units: contact support.
Where to return it
Free of charge at a municipal collection point for batteries and electrical equipment, at your Kaddey dealer, or by sending it to Kaddey. Email hi@kaddey.com for a return label.
Handling a used or damaged battery
- Tape over the connectors before you return it.
- Keep it dry and cool until it's collected.
- Don't post a damaged, swollen or hot battery. Contact Kaddey first.
Why separate collection matters
A damaged or discarded lithium-ion battery can start a fire in a bin, a truck or a sorting plant. If it leaks, the electrolyte can irritate the eyes, skin and airways, and its materials can harm soil and water. Returned batteries are recycled and their metals recovered.
Remote, radio and software
Remote control
The remote contains a lithium-ion battery (3.7 V, 400 mAh, 1.48 Wh). Charge it via USB-C. Don't put it in household waste; return it with the E-Kit or at a battery collection point.
Radio equipment
The PaceSync and the remote use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi in the 2400–2483.5 MHz band. Maximum transmit power: −5 dBm EIRP.
What's in the E-Kit
PaceSync drive unit, two E-Wheelarms, two E-Wheels, E-Nocks, charger STC-8139LC, remote control, and the optional Kaddey app for iOS and Android.
Software updates and your data
Security updates arrive through the Kaddey app and are supported until at least [date]. Read the app privacy policy to see what's stored and how to delete it, for example before you sell your trolley.
Warranty and support
Your E-Kit has a two-year Kaddey warranty. It doesn't affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
To make a claim, email hi@kaddey.com with your serial number and proof of purchase. We'll tell you how to return it.
